High School Equivalency Diploma
Are you ready to schedule a High School Equivalency (HSE) exam? In addition to free academic preparation offered through Adult Basic & Secondary Education, Blue Ridge Community College offers two HSE exam options that lead to the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges High School Equivalency Diploma. Both exams are offered during the day and evening at the Henderson County and Transylvania County campuses.

Cost: $53.75 for the exam battery or $10.75 per exam.
The full battery includes five subtests (Language Arts-Reading, Language Arts-Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies)
Pearson Vue GED®
Cost: $80 for the exam battery.
The full battery includes four subtests (Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Social Studies)
College and Career Readiness Center
The College & Career Readiness Center (CCRC) is designed to support the individualized needs of all learners. Students may utilize the center for additional academic support and instruction, career exploration, resume writing, workplace readiness workshops, or to improve their computer skills.
